Family Health Teams are a key component of the Ontario Government's plan to build a health care system that delivers on three priorities - keeping Ontarians healthy, reducing wait times and providing better access to doctors and nurses.
The Kawartha North Family Health Team is a community-led team including physicians, Nurse Practitioner, RN’s, Mental Health Workers, a Diabetes consultant, phlebotomists and administrative staff providing primary health care to its patients. The health team provides care for patients of all ages, working collaboratively to keep patients healthy through prevention, maintenance and health promotion. The Kawartha North Family Health Team's catchment area includes Fenelon Falls, Argyle, Bobcaygeon, Burnt River, Coboconk, Glenarm, Rosedale, Kirkfield, Norland, Uphill and surrounding areas which are served by two sites.
